ABOUT ME

I have been involved in language testing and assessment for about 30 years. I worked as a testing coordinator at Bilkent University School of English Language (BUSEL), coordinating the production, administration and the standardization of exams at all levels. In addition, I worked as a full member of COPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English) team taking active part in the design, administration and standardization of COPE for almost a decade. I trained many test writers and am the co-writer of the first COPE practice book. I also worked as the Head of the Testing Unit before leaving BUSEL. I continued on my testing career path at Middle East Technical University, Modern Languages Department. I was a member of English Proficiency Exam committee and got involved in all the aspects of proficiency testing (production, administration, standardization and training) for eight years .Later, I became the coordinator of MLD Testing Committee and gave guidance to other testers in the production, administration and standardization of EAP (English for Academic Purposes) achievement tests (midterm and final exams). When I was based in Cyprus for 15 years ,I worked at METU Northern Cyprus Campus, Modern Languages Program as an EAP instructor and testing coordinator. Now I'm working as a freelance test writer and am based in Ankara and Bodrum.
