ABOUT ME

Nukte Durhan has been involved in language testing and assessment for almost 25 years. She worked as a testing coordinator at Bilkent University School of English Language (BUSEL), coordinating the production, administration and
standardization of exams at all levels. In addition, she worked as a full member of COPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English) team taking active part in the design, administration and standardization of COPE for almost a decade. She trained many test writers and is the co-writer of the first COPE practice book. She also worked as the Head of the Testing Unit before leaving BUSEL.

She continued her career at Middle East Technical University, Modern Languages Department. She was a member of English Proficiency Exam committee and got involved in all the aspects of proficiency testing (production, administration,
standardization and training) for eight years .Later she became the coordinator of MLD Testing Committee and gave guidance to other testers in the production, administration and standardization of EAP (English for Academic Purposes)
achievement tests (midterm and final exams).

At the moment, she is working at METU Northern Cyprus Campus, Modern Languages Program as an EAP instructor.
